Strong is great, its very flexible. You can tailor your own training programs to your needs. You can create new exercises. The interface is very clean. But there is still some potential for improvement: 1) Id prefer if the app populated the weight and reps from the last time rather than the goals you set in the training program. It seem to me to make more sense to try to better yourself rather than to meet a predefined goal from a few weeks ago when you set up the routine. 2) The pics you take to track your progress get cropped in a funny way so that you cant see much. I couldnt them to display in full. Neither can I find a way swap through them to actually see and compare the changes. That makes taking the pics a bit pointless. 3) theres no way to keep track of your tape measurement, just weight and fat percentage. Worse still, if you want to measure your fat percentage using skin calipers, you need another app. Shame, because for the price of the premium version you could expect them to include the calculator. 4)Another thing on my wish list: a way to add pictures as icons for each exercise. Sometimes I cant do the exercises in the given order, because the equipment is taken. But I often end up entering the reps under the wrong exercise. Images would make it easier to see where the numbers should go in. 5) I wish the app would warn you when you try to finish your workout when not all exercises have been completed. The app asks you to confirm that youre done, but doesnt display a warning if you accidentally forgotten to enter a digit somewhere along the way. 6) Wach exercise must be classified in terms of the primary muscle group. Thats a great idea, but the classification is too general for my taste, e.g. "Arms". It does make a difference whether its biceps or triceps as you dont necessary have to train both on the same day. Also, itd be great if the app allowed you to enter the secondary muscle group. Showing a graphic of the human body at the end of each training session and marking the body parts trained could be a great feature, too. But still, the app does what its supposed to do, its clean and functional and its reasonably priced. I can only recommend it.
Not everyone tracks their workouts but for those of us who do, this is the app to use.
Simple and easy to use Cant lift without it!
Great app. Keeps my info tidy and it is quick and easy to record my workouts. Lots of useful data and detail! The added features, like the plate calculator and graphs, are great and easily worth paying for. Loving the iPhone 6 support, the updated UI is beautiful!
Highly customizable, keeps track of last time I had done the specific exercise makes it easy to progress (I.e. Up the weights for the same rep).
Does everything I need, easy to use interface. Awesome app.
Found a plan I liked online, added in the routine to Strong and its been great to keep me motivated, on track and seeing progress
Helps me organize my programs and track my weights efficiently
This is a great app for my needs. I recently started weight training and tried several other apps before finding this one. Strong is by far the easiest to use and with each update they are making great, useful improvements. Thanx for helping me become the best version of myself!!
Simple, intuitive, with data export ability. Need I say more?
Not sure I see what all the hype is about, sure its clean but there is still alot of clunky UI/UX. Time elapsed during workout shows up sometimes but then disappears. Whenever I put the app in my pocket it keeps accidentally adding/removing sets, changing weight etc, pretty annoying. If you accidentally mark a set as done you cant unmark it. A lot of little things wrong but overall its ok I guess. Better than all the other apps in this category currently but thats not hard to do considering the quality of the rest :(
Helps me keep track of my PRs and volume and also makes sure I dont waste too much time during my rest sets playing with my phone. Only thing I would suggest is making it record your workout time in apple health. Also an option to enter in single dumbbell weights for DB exercises would be cool but might just over complicate it for nothing.
cant wait for the desktop version
Does everything so well. Ive tried them all and paid for some. This is the best.
Excellent support and does what is advertised
Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. Been using it for a month and its a great workout tracker. Gotta hit those PRs.
Track your reps and weight. Easily glance at what your last record was. Take progress photos. This is all you need to work out, and the app does it simple and smart.
This is a straight ahead and simple app to use to track your progress in the gym.
